I would like to tell you how much my life has improved since I received my new hearing aids, the CANTA 7's. I am in my early thirties and a career woman. In the past I have been concerned that my severe hearing loss would limit my opportunities and have often been nervous before business meetings that I might miss something important. The reality was that I did miss things. I missed conversations and whispers. Sometimes at training conferences I would miss whole presentations. I would often have to "make up" what was said and attempt to provide a correct answer.
NO MORE!! With the Canta 7's my life has changed dramatically. The first week I wore my new hearing aids I had to go into a command center for my work. The Center was extremely noisy and the people were yelling and talking over everyone else while we were simulating real life emergency situations. It was my job to record what was transpiring around me. normally, I would have been in tears with the effort of trying to capture all that information. My notes were to be the documentation of the events. With the Canta 7's I was able to hear and capture more information than anyone else had ever done before. The people I worked with were very impressed. When I told them I was hearing impaired they could not believe it. I had to physically show them my hearing aids. They were amazed.
Since that time I have worn my Canta 7's every day. I have heard so many things that I never heard before. The discovery of these new sounds was overwhelming at first, but very much appreciated. I am grateful to the Hearing & Speech Center for their assistance in finding a great match for my hearing loss. The Center provided awesome support for me to learn and adapt to my new aids. Most of all, with their assistance and my new hearing aids, I am making the most out of my life at home, at college and at work. Thank you!

My name is Hubert Washburn. I am in outpatient speech therapy at the Hearing and Speech Center. I am fortunate to have Christine as my therapist.
She is exceptionally knowledgeable and presents herself very well. She truly cares about me and how I am accepting the incident that happened.
I have come a long way and I owe it to Chrisitine. She never lets up and pushes me to the limit. She recognizes my abilities and uses them to help me!
It is important to me that she gets the recognition for what she has done for me and can do for others.
I am priviliged to have her as my therapist and fortunate she chose our area for her practice.
Sincerely,
Hubert Washburn

Life is so busy and so when you have a child with special needs you have to make decisions about the time you commit in different therapies. I truly appreciate a place like Hearing and Speech Center.
My son gets 1:1 therapy with a Speech Pathologist once a week. His sessions are individualized for his specific needs. The Therapist knows him and has a plan for where he's going and how to get there.
We recieve regular written reports of his progress and this information is also sent on to his Pediatrician and the specialists at his school so that his care is coordinated throughout his life.
The therapy he gets from the Speech Pathologist at Hearing and Speech has been the cornerstone of his development. His speech therapy has affected his progress in every area of his life.
I couldn't give a higher recommendation for therapy than Hearing and Speech Center.
